Alina Shamanska about the loss of her mother: “She hid the fact that she had cancer for two years”

Alina Shamanska , a famous Ukrainian blogger, gave an exclusive interview to the infotainment show about the lives of famous personalities “Life of Famous People”, in which she spoke for the first time about the death of her mother:

“She was my friend. I was very close to her. We talked with her for two hours every day. I told everything. My mother always supported me and said: “Daughter, you are beautiful.” I remember her last days, when she was in the intensive care unit, I go into the ward with my brother, and she says to him: “Lyosha, look how beautiful Alinochka is.”

Alina’s mother did not admit to her family that she had stage 4 cancer. And she never once complained of pain:

“She hid her cancer for two years. She and her father decided not to upset or distract their children from work. I did not know that my mother was sick. If I had known earlier, I’m sure my mother would have stood behind the cameras and supported me. It was a very big tragedy for me. I did not understand why the world continues to live, because my life is over,” the blogger admitted.

The woman died four years ago. And since that time, Alina could not even enter her room in Nemyrov. Recently, the blogger dared to go to her hometown, where her father lives. Before the Great War, he often visited Kyiv, and now they are constantly in touch.

“Everything is always chic with him: “I’m fine. There is something to eat and drink, I grow strawberries.” I didn’t hear from dad that he was sick or in pain. We suggested to him: “Dad, let’s take you abroad.” He doesn’t want to. Age allows, but he does not want. We send him money, sometimes I, sometimes my brothers. He does not spend them, does not buy anything. There are potatoes, pickles, whatever else is needed.”

On the eve of the Russian invasion, Shamanska herself went to Europe with her son Artur and her husband, actor and producer Ruslan Khanumak, for a vacation. It was there that the war caught them. Later, the family moved to Los Angeles. There, he says, only volunteering saved him from depression. For the sake of the child, Alina returned to the USA again, but she considered and now considers only Ukraine to be her home.

“Before the war, America was the place of my strength. I flew there once a year. Something incredible happened to me there. Some other energy forces. The war showed me where my homeland is, where my place is, where they smile at you. It cannot but cause emotions. I realized that my place and my home are where my followers are, where my people are, where flowers are mother’s marigold.”

There were rumors that during the full-scale war, far from home, Alina’s relationship with her lover deteriorated. Shamanska commented on these assumptions:

“Bloggers have this story – everyone always thinks that everything is perfect in the house. I know many families where the picture is gorgeous. When the video is turned off, checkmate. I don’t want to create a perfect family picture. I would really hate for people to dig into my personal life. So much so that I turn my whole self and my life on this blog. I don’t want to discuss my personal.”

But to the clarifying question of the ZhVL journalist: “Are Shamanska and Khanumak together”, the blogger answered without hesitation: “Yes.” Moreover, she admitted that she was waiting, finally, for the wedding, which they never played.

“I’m a girl! What is it like to live life without wearing a wedding dress? It’s a holiday of love. If you love your partner, why not?”.

But the wedding, if it will take place, will be only after our victory. In the meantime, Shamanska overseas continues to buy ammunition for the Armed Forces, organizes charity concerts and hopes that she will soon be able to return to the Motherland forever!
